I’m Ciara, I wish to share with you in the upcoming posts my knowledge and experiences that I have gained as a swimmer competing in pool, open water and ice swimming. I will be sharing with you some of the most beautiful and challenging swims I competed in.

In this Blog I will be giving Tips & Tricks for swimming in Pool, Open Water and Ice Swimming that can help you gain a better understanding of swimming in various environments, which can help benefit you both physically and mentally.

In the pool I represented Ireland in 2014 and I became Irish Senior Champion for the 1500m Freestyle in 2015.

In open water swimming I’m the Global Swim Series (GSS) World Champion from 2016-2019. Irish National Champion for 17km 2016-2019, I’m the current Irish record for this event. National Irish Champion for 5km from 2015-2017 and 10km Irish National Champion 2018.

In 2019 I represented Ireland in the 3rd Ice Swimming World Championships in Murmansk, Russia winning silver in the 1000m Freestyle and current Irish record holder for this event and in the Arctic Cup winning gold in the 200m Freestyle and bronze in the 50m Freestyle.
